Spyro is a true all rounder- an athletic sports dog, amiable house dog, gentle therapy dog and even an actor for commercials! Spyro's gentle, loving and engaging nature shines in his volunteer therapy dog role, where he was selected to attend the high care dementia residences at our local nursing home. He is a wonderful sports dog, titled in working pack dog (endurance), lure coursing, and tricks, as well as obtaining his Herding Instinct Certificate. We also compete and train in dancing with dogs, rally, agility, and flyball. He has an excellent off-switch, sleeping the day away at home if nothing is asked of him, but the second his attention is required he is all in. He is a powerful dog, lean and muscular, with great tug drive and desire to please. He is solid in demanding environments, which has allowed him to perform in multiple commercials with new people, places, sounds, and large camera equipment.
